Food Microbiology

Alison originally trained as a medical microbiologist at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, continuing her interest today through the provision of accredited courses in food microbiology.  Through the use of interactive media, hands-on sessions and group workshops, she will take you on a journey through the incredible world of micro-organisms and their interactions with the human body.  You will begin to understand the fine balance of our symbiotic relationships with the myriad of micro-organisms which live unseen on our planet, and how a minute disturbance of this balance can lead to illness in individuals and populations. 

Alison is happy to give talks to groups or to run examination courses which lead to qualifications necessary for the catering industry.  Alison has an excellent pass rate;  clients regularly return for refresher sessions.  She particularly welcomes those with language or learning difficulties.
